Many a hand has scaled the grand old face of the plateau         许多人的手曾在这古老的大高原上磨蹭
Some belong to strangers and some to folks you know              有些是陌生的怪蜀黍有些是你的亲朋
Holy ghosts and talk show hosts are planted in the sand          神仙鬼怪和访谈主持都被在这沙地里播种
To beautify the foothills and shake the many hands               美化美化地形也联络联络感情

The nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop                    山顶上只有一个拖把和一个桶
And an illustrated book about birds                              还有一本画册画着鸡鸡鸭鸭和老鹰
You see a lot up there but don't be scared                       你在那上面看到很多但没必要惊恐
Who needs action when you got words                              等你听到消息鬼知道哪个部门要行动

When you've finished with the mop then you can stop              擦完了地你就可以停下来轻松轻松
And look at what you've done                                     顺便看看你小子抽的这是什么风
The plateau's clean, no dirt to be seen                          花花绿绿的高原被你擦得是一干二净
And the work it took was fun                                     你这倒霉孩子还一边乐呵一边穷折腾

Well the many hands began to scan around for the next plateau    于是人们又开始去搜寻下一个高原的踪影
Some said it was in Greenland and some in Mexico                 有些说那在格凌兰也有人说是在墨西哥城
Others decided it was nowhere except for where they stood        还有些人坚持除了他脚下别处都不行
But they were all just guesses, wouldn't help you if they could  但他们都不会帮你只会瞎哼哼……
